Urgent Care & Transportation

Non-Emergency Medical Treatment After Hours

If you need non-emergency medical treatment after 3:30 p.m. on weekdays (after the Student Health Center is closed for the day) or on weekends, you can get medical help at one of the following urgent care centers.

Note: When the Urgent Care is closed, please go to the nearest emergency room for help.

UPMC Shadyside Urgent Care
5231 Centre Ave. Pittsburgh
Open: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. — 7 days a week
(UPMC Shadyside Hospital, which has a 24-hour emergency room, is across the street from UPMC Shadyside Urgent Care.)

Med Express Urgent Care
5201 Baum Blvd., Pittsburgh
Open 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. — 7 days a week

Transportation to Urgent Care

Point Park University provides transportation to students who are in need of immediate medical treatment that does
not require emergency transportation. Public Safety and Student Affairs will be responsible for arranging this transportation.

Note:  If you have a medical emergency or a serious medical condition, call Public Safety  immediately — 412-392-3960 or dial x2222 from any campus phone. Public Safety will contact emergency services and ensure they get to your location.
