Dance Program Redefines the Triple Threat
As a dance student at Point Park University, you engage in rigorous training in state-of-the-art facilities — the George Rowland White Performance Center and Pittsburgh Playhouse — progressing to the highest level of performance in order to achieve success in your career. As a dance major, you can become a triple threat in the dance world as you receive intense training in ballet, jazz and modern dance.
This comprehensive dance program connects classical conservatory training to a forward-thinking dance world, so you are prepared to excel as a professional dancer, choreographer or teacher. Our dance alumni are performing in regional and national dance companies, Broadway shows and tours, as well as creating and performing their own work around the world.

B.A. in Dance
Students can complete a B.A. in dance in three or four years. Students may select ballet, jazz or modern as the focus of your studies, but you also train and gain expertise in the other two concentrations. B.A. in dance degree requirements.

B.A. in Dance Pedagogy
The B.A. in dance pedagogy emphasizes a strong teaching philosophy, which can be used for various levels of instruction, from pre-school to professional. Students must complete one year in the dance program to pursue this degree. B.A. in dance pedagogy degree requirements.
