Documentary filmmaker Laura J. Boyd joined the staff at National Geographic Television in 2006 where she served in many roles, including associate producer for Dangerous Encounters and Explorer, coordinating producer for Wild Chronicles and produced the award-winning children’s series Wild Detectives. Boyd received an Emmy nomination for documentary research on the National Geographic Explorer episode Talibanistan. Her recent projects include documentary shorts on invasive species for the National Park Service and conducting research for the remake of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos.
